Change Is Inevitable

Change is inevitable and will always happen... It is just part of life. We are experiencing lots of change right now. # 1. Addi is getting potty trained. I think... I say this because we (my mom and I) started the 3-day potty training a week ago and she has yet to even want to pee in the potty... ANNOYING... As 3 days has now turned into 7+... But we are hopeful that this will work... #2 Tyler is away from our family right now. It is sad not seeing him even for 5 minutes during the day... I have started making a list of reasons why I miss him. There are the obvious ones, but also - pumping gas and cleaning my windshield... LOL, I guess I am spoiled. We are grateful for this change even if it is sad. The adjustment hasn't been that bad... I know the many prayers for comfort during this time are being answered. What started out as just a little faith has truly turned into a dream come true... Tyler has wanted to work for Disney since we spent a Christmas at the Disneyland park in 2004.

I am so proud of him. He is working at the Grand Floridian Resort and Day Spa...

Tyler got to visit the grand suite with his group where celebs stay when they come to the resort. Sir Elton John and Celine Dion and Billy Joel have stayed here and played this piano. You could rent it for 3000 per night. A bit out of my budget, but cool that he is able to have these experiences!!!

He has been able to meet many fun characters like Cinderella and the wicked step sisters. He said that the wicked step-sisters go around and kiss their Prince Charming, the poor little boys then have kiss marks on their cheeks... Super cute!!!

We are really proud of you Tyler... Keep up the hard work... Enjoy this time, as I know you are... We love you!!!

The New Year 2012

For New Year's we traveled to Merced, CA to say hello to some dear friends. What an amazing time. We were really blessed to attend our old ward and to see so many amazing people. We stayed with M & M!! They had 2 cats and 2 dogs and Addison LOVED them. Her first words on Sunday morning were "kitty cat"....  The cat was a bit territorial and didn't like people, but Addison still thought he was fun to chase!! Addi also really enjoyed their piano. She would sit on the bench and play a note and sing the pitch. It was really cute. I was going to try and get it on video, but everytime I would get up to go and get the camera she would quit. She is such a funny girl!!!!

We also spent a little time cleaning Tyler's dad's headstone. We resealed it as well to keep it looking amazing. I am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge I have that Richard is in a better place and being an instrument in the Lord's hands.

On the way home, we received a call from J & K Callister! We realized we would be passing the same town about the same time and thought it a good idea to meet.... What a wonderful little visit. Such a fun memory I will always have...

Sometimes people come into your life for reasons you don't even know. Merced was that kind of place, but returning made me realize the love others have and the example they gave me. Thank you all for your love and examples. I grew so much in Merced because of your love for our family.
