Cleaning days 2 & 3

Ha, so last night I was up until 11. If any of your truly know me, this is late. I love to go to bed by 9-9:30. Anyway, may latest and greatest discovery not only cleans teeth, but clothes. A Waterpik - who knew!!!

This one is like the one we have. Anyway - Tyler with all of his dental problems was told by the dentist to get a waterpik to help clean under his bridge work. So, as part of my discovery I have found the waterpik to assist in other cleaning issues. #1 - Addi went swimming in her new suit and sat in sandy dirt... unfortunately this sandy dirt got stuck in her suit... Waterpik to the rescue!!!! I tried just rinsing to begin with - no avail... then I turned on the waterpik stain and dirt - GONE!! Success!!! #2 Addi's sparkle Converse shoes. I do not know what she had gotten on them, but they were looking brown and dingy - they are originally white in color. Waterpik to the rescue. Now they are beautiful. Picture below... I love my Waterpik..My teeth are clean and so are the other items. :) (Maybe hard to tell via picture, but I can tell just looking at the difference)

One dirty and one clean!!!

Better view!!!

This is dirty...

House Cleaning

Sorry, no pictures for this post... I am planning for my much awaited trip to Indiana and for some reason along with working and watching Addi at night and packing to get ready for my trip, I have this insane idea that I really need to clean my house. (Like make it spotless) This always happens on every trip we take... I think there is something mentally in my little head that clicks and I think of when I was a little girl. Mom would always make sure when we had a trip the house was neat and tidy... I guess I am like my mom in some ways!!! I am so OCD though that I have not only made one list, but two for this trip. One list consists of items needed for my trip (which is piling up on the kitchen table) and list two is my "cleaning list". Tyler is helping a little on the cleaning list making comments like (Dusting - SCREW THAT)... A great help!!! HA HA... Addi even decided to help me last night while I was cleaning the bathroom. She decided to grab her favorite bathroom item... the plunger... I LOVE HER!!! Really she loves the toilet bowl brush too!!! Funny girl... I have even caught her using the toilet bowl brush to clean the toilet... I like how she copies me... Well, I have both bathrooms done, Tyler did the kitchen, dishes are done... Tonight's task is the fridge and possibly a little visit teaching drop off. Tomorrow laundry and possibly a little packing... My two favorites... NOT!!!

Ice Carving

Tyler started attending Le Cordon Bleu almost 1 year ago. He has learned so much... In his current class, catering and buffet, he has learned to create items out of fruit, vegetables and ice. He started making flowers from fruits and veggies. Last week, he had the opportunity to to do an ice carving.

This is a tropical fish carved completely out of ice!

This was the other side of the ice block, sea weed!
Tyler is so artistic and it is fun to see him incorporate his love of art with his love of food! Good job Tyler on your first ice carving!!!

Family Pictures - well kinda!!!!

If you are on Facebook, you would have seen these as well, but I know some people don't visit as often. We took these about a month ago. Not perfect, seriously what can you expect when you take them yourselves...
Addi is in her own little world... We love her!!!

This was the best picture I got of her.. She just wanted to play!!

Our Family!!!!

Me and my baby girl!!!

Girls Night - June

I have been trying to plan a creative girls night monthly to get more people involved in creativity, also so that I might pick up some new techniques. This month's girls night was card making. I totally forgot to bust out the camera and get some of the other cards that were completed, but below are a couple that I finished during the evening. I have a few more to do, maybe this weekend - time permitting and all.

Thanks to my mom for the supplies!!!

The Color Purple

I have been working with Addi on her colors. Last night she said "purple" when we were going through the colors. I was so proud of my little girl... Then, she suprised me and said another color, "blue"...

I love watching her learn new things and I am grateful for the opportunity to teach her!

We even have taught her to say "amen" at the end of prayers... she is so smart!!!!

Tangled & a Frying Pan

We purchased Tangled when it first was released a month or so ago. Addi loves watching it! I think one of her favorite things about the movie is the use of a frying pan. As you can see below, the use of a frying pan is used as weapon.
Well, at church in nursery, we have a play kitchen, equipped with no other than a frying pan. And yes, Addison took the frying pan last week and hit a girl with it. It was bound to happen, just so that it happened with my child. I kindly removed the frying pan from play and explained to Addison that we do not hit... I love our Disney movies, it is crazy what kids pick up on....
